Hi,
Being a newbie is daunting, confusing and sometimes extremely frustrating when trying to create something you are really interested in. Sometimes to the point where you just want to give up!
We all know we are a loving community here at Corona SDK forums and I would like to propose the following:
Corona SDK Adopt-A-Newbie Mentor Scheme!
The idea behind the scheme is for a newbie with a big idea to post his plans on here and then for a senior member of the community to mentor, teach and help the newbie to get their goal.
I think both parties need to lay out some ground rules before they agree to begin the mentorship. Basic rules I propose from this scheme:
-
All code is released to the community to learn from.
-
Any programs that are published must be release for free for the first 6 months.
-
An agreement between both parties on how often communications may occur and reply times. Some mentors may only like to answer 1 question a week to force the newbie to do a little research before asking too many questions.
The list can be fine tuned ofcourse… Im just throwing around ideas.
What do you think?
Yes, I would like a mentor to help out but I think this would work well for many folks on here.

I’d love to have a ‘mentor’
Hope to help out in the future too! [import]uid: 50842 topic_id: 14570 reply_id: 53992[/import]
