Corona SDK or Love 2d?

Hello guys, I’m the beginner in programming so I’m only choosing engine now. But I’m really afraid to make the wrong choise, I watched templates at the main page of CoronaLabs, but games are lagging(I have 64 bit system, meaby that’s a problem) that’s why I’m little confused now. Please, share your experience of using Corona or Love, help me to decide. Tell more about experience of using Corona when you just started making games. I will be grateful for any help you can provide.

Can you better explain what you mean by “you watched templates at the main page of CoronaLabs, but games are lagging”?

Examples?

URLs?

Are you building and running them in the simulator or on a device?

What Operating system and hardware are you running on?

Thanks

Rob

I watched demo projects on this page: https://docs.coronalabs.com/guide/programming/index.html
Corona Cannon is working well, doesn’t lag, but when I played Endless Sk8boarder on windows, I always heard some loud noise when I press right arrow key, I downloaded the game on PonyWolf’s site(exe): https://ponywolf.itch.io/endless-sk8boarder .
And Match Three Space Rpg(exe) (https://ponywolf.itch.io/match-three-space-rpg) hadn’t aliens in it, so I just saw a door and the only thing I could do is matching three things. I tried to play these games on Windows 7(64 bit) and I have a good computer. Five minutes ago I tried to launch Match Three in Corona Simulator, but it hadn’t aliens in it too. Endless Sk8boarder works in Corona well, without noises.
P.S.: Sorry for my English, it’s not quite good

Personally, I started using Corona over other platforms based on the help documentation and really active forum.

I used to be an Adobe Flash developer.  I’m an artist, designer, programmer, musician so as a solo developer I could compete with small design firms.  It was a nice place to be until the demise of Flash (circa 2008).  I gave up programming for several years until a friend of mine came across a Corona SDK book and passed it on to me saying “I think this is what you’ve been looking for!”.

Corona has be a great place for me to synthesis my art and my programming.  Corona provides a versatile and creative environment.  I can do an art sketch and add programming or I can do a programming sketch and add art.  The community has been very supportive and I often find answers to perplexing problems here in the forums.

I’ve never tried LOVE but I considered it.  It also looks like a nice community however, I think Corona has a big advantage with much bigger libraries, better documentation and a marketplace where you can get sorts of helpful code, graphics, and music.  Additionally, Corona isn’t any harder to learn than LOVE.
