Corona SDK Starter Kit now takes forever to "build for Android"

Hi everyone,

I am halfway through the project I’m working on, but lately (for the past two days), the SDK takes forever to “build for Android”.  I’m not suspecting my internet connection because I other programs that require internet connection have no problem running at all.

As I’m typing this, it already took about 15minutes  since I clicked on “Build for Android” and still the progress bar is not moving at halfway… “Connecting to server…”

Is there something that I should know, considering the fact that I’m only using the Starter Kit?  From the start I am aware that there is a sort of timer (in seconds) before the building for android kicks in, but it only took well within  a minute or slightly so.  Lately, it takes too long.

Cheers,

Santi

This is not normal. It’s likely it’s a connection issue, as you said. Try disabling any firewall you have for the moment that you compile. If that doesn’t work, and if you develop on another PC, try that to see if there is a compilation issue there.

Thanks for the tip harb37.

I guess it was indeed my connection.  the following day, it was back to normal build times.
