"Corona Simulator cannot be opened because of a problem" Error on Mac

Hello everybody,
Every time i try to start corona on my Mac OS X 10.7.5 the “CS cannot be opened because of a problem” shows up. How can i solve this problem?
Do i need to install the latest version of El Captain? I would really like to avoid doing that as it’s gonna kill my already quite slow and quite old MacBookPro.
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated,

You need to be running 10.10 Yosemite or 10.11 El Capitan.
