Corona Simulator crashes first time started

Hello,

i am totally new to Corona and wanted to try it out. However after i installed Corona SDK i wanted to start it, but it crashes every time.

I have to say i made a complete reinstall of Windows 7, after that i installed .Net 4.0, Java JRE, and Avira.

After that i installed Corona SDK.

I have done all the things suggested here in other forum posts, like updating the graphics card drivers, checked the installed opengl version and so on.

Is there something i haved missed? Maybe there is something missing because of the new installation of Windows 7?

The console output is:

14:06:51.444 14:06:51.444 Corona Simulator 2017.3135 (Sep 7 2017 02:44:35) 14:06:51.444 14:07:07.787 The stdin connection has closed.

My system specs:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 32bit

CPU: Genuine Intel T2400 2x 1.83GHz

GPU: Geforce Go 7400  -|-  driver version: 30-Jan-09 (is the newest i can get for this old card. However it supports opengl 2.1)

RAM: 2Gb

Opengl: v2.1

directx: v9.0c

If more informations are needed, please let me know.

I hope someone can help me, as im really excited about Corona.

Thanks!

I am not sure it supports OpenGL 2.1

I found on Nvidia website the following statement

Full OpenGL support, including OpenGL 2.0

Thanks for your reply.

According to OpenGL Extension Viewer, OpenGL 2.1 is fully supported and working. Have also run an OpenGL test render with OpenGL 2.1 and it worked fine.

Well, then try to download and install this driver pack from Feb 11, 2009.

Don’t forget to restart Windows after that. You know, Windows like reboot

Thats the one i have installed already.

Try to install latest Windows updates and restart.

Did not help either.

I solved the problem by getting a new Notebook. The one i used was about 10 years old. Now it works.

Thank you.
