I have a macbook running snow leopard on one partition and windows 8 on the second partition. Everything is working fine on the mac side, but my install of corona on the windows 8 side crashes the simulator as soon as I launch it. I can not find the root of my problem, the simulator never even loads. The dialog opens and then the simulator crashes. I am not even trying to launch a project yet, just launching the simulator. I have installed and reinstalled both the corona simululator and the JDK version 6 several times and the same problems still exists. I may have had corona installed on the windows partition before upgrading to Windows 8 (I really don’t remember), is there maybe an old configuration file causing the problem? Where would I find this file if so? Some of the forms talk about a external monitor error, but I have never had one attached to my macbook. I really don’t have any more ideas on how to get this thing working I have Corona installed on many other Windows 8 machines with out any problem. Any help would be appreciated.
