Corona Simulator doesn't run on my computer

Hi, this is my first post. I’ve just installed Corona Simulator on my notebook but, if i click it to run, it immediately stops and shows me the windows popup telling me there is a problem running the software, and so on…

What should i do?

That operating system are you running on?

What version of Corona SDK are you trying to to build with?

What error text you are getting.

Is your graphics card and driver updated to be able to support OpenGL 2.0?

If you are on a Windows machine, you can use the following to get information about your system:

Glew is an extension wrangler for opengl and is capable of providing system/graphics information.

Customers can run the glew utility and send us the log file that is generated to help us determine their hardware support.

  1. Download the glew Binaries for Windows 32-bit and 64-bit OS

  2. Extract the zip folder and in the extracted folder navigate to bin/Win32 for Win32 systems or, bin/x64 for 64-bit OS’s.

Direct Link to sourceforge:

  1. Run the utility glewinfo.exe, this will generate the file glewinfo.txt.

If you know for certain that your graphics card and driver are updated and support OpenGL 2.0, please mail the glewinfo.txt to support AT coronalabs.com

Thanks

Rob,

I posted my problem in 3 forums but have not had any luck resolving it.

After installing the latest graphics 2.0 build, the simulator appeared to open but immediately displayed “Corona Simulator has stopped working.” I was told that my problem could be the graphics driver but I think it’s current. I have OpenGL 2.0 and the driver version is 8.15.10.1930, and the renderer is Intel 965/963 Graphics Media Accelerator. Does any of these need to be updated?

I re-installed the legacy version which is running the simulator OK but would really want to be on graphics 2 to start on a new project. I would appreciate your help.

I am attaching glewinfo.txt for your reference.

THANKS,
Ruben

Thank you for running that, however you need to email it, along with your computer make, model and graphics card information to

support AT coronalabs.com

(replacing the AT with @ of course).  Engineering won’t see it here.

Thanks

Rob
