Corona simulator has stopped working

Hi,

Today I need to upgrade my version of Corona SDK. Everything was working fine.

I uninstalled the old version. Installed 2015.2659. 

Now every time I try to start the simulator, it crashes.

Tried to go back to old version, same problem. No matter what version I install, it crashes.

Updated video driver anyway, still crashes.

It can’t be a video driver problem, a recent version worked perfectly before, have been using Corona for years.

I ran Process Monitor to see if I could find what was going on. Seeing a lot of BUFFER OVERFLOWS, not sure

what it means.

What version were you using prior to 2659?

At least below 2015.2542, because I’m using Local Notifications, and as of 2542 that has been moved to a plugin, so I needed to update.

Glad that worked for you. Upgrading to a latest daily build could theoretically have also fixed your issue. I’m assuming you were using “automatically reopen last project”.

I tried the latest build, didn’t work. And I don’t auto reopen the last project, I just pick it from the menu that comes up.

Hm. That’s odd then. But, the registry fix was a quick and dirty way to get you back up on your feet.
