Corona Simulator - OS X Lion - Display issue

Hi guys,

I have a problem with the Corona Simulator on the OS X Lion (Platform: iPad / x86_64 / 10.7 / Intel GMA X3100 OpenGL Engine / 2.1 APPLE-7.4.1 / 2014.2393).

When I animate some objects the screen starts blinking and sometimes looks like this .

When I run the same code on the Mac with the OS X Mountain Lion everything works fine.

Thanks in advance

Petr

Is there a reason you are running Lion?  Apple is likely going to release Yosemite in the next week or so, putting Lion some 4 operating systems old.

Hi Rob,

thanks for quick response. I know that Mac OS X Lion is pretty old OS but I can’t install newer on my Macbook. I work on the Macbook most of the time (because it’s portable). I just wondering if there is some solution because as you write on download page (https://developer.coronalabs.com/downloads/corona-sdk) Mac OS X 10.7 should be supported.

Thanks

Petr

It probably should work and we’ve not made any statements about it not working on 10.7 that I’m aware of.  I’ll have to ask engineering if they have seen anything like this before.

Rob

For iOS Apps, we say the minimum is 10.8.  10.7 can be used for Android development.  Apple requires a minimum of Xcode 5.1.1 to submit to iTunes today anyway.  When Apple makes Xcode 6 required, it will probably end 10.7 as a tool.

Any way, it’s hard for us to tell from the screen shot.  Is that happening in the Xcode simulator or the Corona simulator?

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob,

it happening in the Corona Simulator. I don’t want to build the app for iOS devices on my Macbook. I just want to debug it in the Corona Simulator. I know it’s hard to say what happens wrong from the screenshot. I can send you some logs but I don’t know which ones will be helpful for you.
