Corona Simulator shows black screen only

Hi,

I have build no. 2011.652 (2011.8.2) on Mac with fresh-install Lion.
When I open the simulator, not only the welcome screen is all black but also every apps shows black screen only on simulator.

May I know the solution?

There is an Apple bug where nothing renders if you have no display attached to your computer.

Otherwise, you need to file a bug and tell us all your hardware information. Chances are your terminal/console is already spewing a bunch of warnings about your video card and features, which we need to see.

Wait a minute. You should be using build 654 or later. We already fixed this except for the Apple no-display-connected bug.

Hi,

Sorry for resuscitating an old thread, but I’m facing this problem.

Corona Version: 2.0.0
Build: 2012.894.

Problem is the same, the installation is OK but after launch the Simulator is all black. I did run via terminal and there were no errors.
I’m remotely connected to a macmini which does not have a display attached. [import]uid: 190972 topic_id: 17498 reply_id: 129055[/import]

Attach a display or upgrade to 10.8 Mountain Lion.

Thanks for replying me.

I’ve attached and it has worked, gonna try the upgrade.

Edit:

I’ve done the upgrade and removed the display and everything is still working. [import]uid: 190972 topic_id: 17498 reply_id: 129167[/import]
