Corona Simulator -- Terminal Display Problem

Does anyone else have a problem with Terminal window? Running “Corona Terminal” or “debugger” brings up a transparent terminal window that is very hard to see. I went into Terminal -> Preferences and changed the window settings but it has no effect on the Coronal Terminal window or debugger terminal.

Looking at the ToolsGuide.pdf document shows a green terminal window but I can’t figure out how to get that window style for the Coronal Terminal or debugger.

Hmmm, mine shows up just like my default terminal window does.

At a guess, make sure you’re changing the settings for your *default* terminal window in the Terminal program?

Ahh in Terminal Prefs, make sure you have the proper settings in the Startup tab.

I have the “Startup” window set to Grass but it always open with the Basic window. I went into the Preferences -> Settings tab and found that the window background was set to 48% transparent. I fixed that and now I can at least view the Terminal window (it now has a solid white background).

It would seem that the Corona Simulator and Debugger programs are forcing the terminal program to open with the Basic window and ignoring the Startup preference.

If I start Terminal as a normal OSX app, it opens in the “Grass” window mode (green background).

BTW, I’m running OSX 10.5.8

Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

I realize that I can change the values of the “Basic” window and make it look like I want but was curious why it’s being forced to use the Basic window (at least on my machine).

It’s never done this for me; I have Terminal set to the “Homebrew” style, and I get that in all cases including Corona.

Does the problem go away if you change your Terminal preferences? It seems like this relates to Terminal settings somehow… [import]uid: 3007 topic_id: 1059 reply_id: 3103[/import]

My terminal came up in “Grass” style as the default. I had to change Terminal preferences under Settings. The “Text”, “Text Bold”, and “Selection” all had the Opacity set to 50%. I changed them back to 100% and now everything works.

This is the first time I used terminal (after fresh install) so I’m not sure why it was set that way.
