Corona Simulator warns me that the subscription will expire soon?

Hi @willandgolf,

Your account should now be extended. Can you once again “Deauthorize and Quit”, and then restart, and go back in to “Verify Purchase”?

Thanks,

Brent

Hi Brent,

It works! Thank you! Was it because my sub has not been updated?

Hi @willandgolf,

Yes, it was an account issue, not an issue with your computer(s). Sorry about sending you on a “wild goose chase” with all that preferences / Windows searching. Your account should now be active through May 1, 2014.

Thanks for your patience and understanding! Again, I apologize for the run-around, and I’m glad that it’s working for you.

Take care,

Brent

willandgolf - have you tried de-authorizing and logging back in?

Hello David,

I have tried that and it still shows the same message. Don’t know what to do with it. I also downloaded and installed the latest daliy build.

Ok, let me have someone look at your account. You definitely have a sub until August 2014, so no danger of you losing that.

Hold on…

willandgold - ok, this should be taken care of. You may need to de-auth one more time, but you should be set.

Thank you, David! I’ll try it now. Will keep you posted.

Still have the same issue :frowning:

The same issue still exists, and now it says I have 2 days left. What is going on here?

Hi @willandgolf,

Are you on Mac or PC?

I am on PC.

The simulator now says I have only 1 day left! Can anyone help?

Hi @willandgolf,

Can you log into the Simulator at all, such that you can take the “Deauthorize and Quit” option under “Preferences”?

Brent

Hi Brent,

Yes, I did several times and it still gives me this message. Very frustrated.

OK, that should have removed your various preferences, but can you now try to remove any preferences or settings in Windows as well? Certainly not at the registry level, but try to locate any places where Windows is storing preferences on the Simulator. If you find them, please remove them all, then uninstall everything Corona and restart. Finally, download Build 1095 and install that.

Let me know how this goes and we’ll figure out what next…

Thanks,

Brent

I don’t really know where the simulator’s preferences or settings are stored. Could you please point me to the right direction?

Did the uninstall, delete the corona labs folder, reboot the PC, reinstall the SDK build 1095, authorize the SDK, and it still gives me the same warming message!

Do you see anything inside the following folder that relates to Corona?

Documents and Settings{user}\Application Data…

No, I don’t see anything related to Corona in this folder.
