Corona Simulator window moves off screen when I select iPad

Not sure if this bug is with corona or osx, but in the corona simulator, whenever I select “windows -> view as -> iPad” the iPad simulator goes off screen, below the viewing area. I have lion installed (don’t recommend it), so when I gesture my 4 fingers up, then I see all the open windows, and from below, up comes the corona iPad simulator. I can select it from there and move it to another screen view, but when I go to that screen view, it is still off screen. I can see it if I select “window -> enter full screen” but kind of annoying not being able to just see it normally alongside my code. If I select any other device, I can see them on screen where they are supposed to be. Any suggestions?

* EDIT * Fixed it. When you select “windows -> zoom in” and then you click on the simulator window and move it down to see the top of the simulator screen, and then you relaunch (cmd-r) or you zoom out, then there is a chance that it will zoom back to its usual size off screen. I would delete this comment, but don’t see an option to do that. Although, I shouldn’t worry, as whenever I post anything in the forums, NOBODY EVER SEES IT ANYWAY.

Here’s a suggestion: why not link the forum with the API pages? That’s where everybody wants to post anyway. Why do you fight this Ansca? You should use it, quit fighting the natural instinct of people to post on the API pages, and connect the forum with the API pages. Have topic pages on the API page that sort the topics on that API. Seems like people would be able to find relevant information a lot easier and quicker, and could post bugs based on that API right from the API page. The forums are quite busy, and I check them often. Only rarely do I make a comment to an API page. And I’m not trying to be sarcastic or condescending, but what API would you have posted this particular comment under? There isn’t an API dedicated to “Corona Simulator window position”.

Ideally… and hopefully it will happen soon… Ansca can implement some kind of “bump” or “vote” system in which users can bump up the more relevant and useful comments in the API pages, letting the less useful or really old/outdated ones just expire (or perhaps if a posting got 10 “allow expire” votes, then it would just be deleted outright… some comments are 1-2 years old and totally irrelevant in regard to API/core changes since that time).

Yes, the forums and API comments system is messy, but the forums DO get read, especially by Peach and the various Corona ambassadors.

It happens all the time… just scale up the window (In menu Window>Zoom In) or command +

You will se your simulator. Move the window to the center and then you can scale down

I see this happening ALL THE TIME too! :\

Basically I need only to ZOOM-IN the iPad skin and voilá, all got hidden on my small macbook`s 13" screen.
Hope to see some work on this.

I recently buy a new MacBook pro with retina display and I have the same problem.

Hi all,

One useful keystroke is Command-Shift-[(arrow-UP], shown as “Center” under the Simulator’s “Window” menu. This should center the Simulator in your screen.
