Hello fellow Corona developers!
My name is Daniel Williams and I’ve been using Corona for awhile. A couple of years ago, I was posting a lot of tutorials on thatssopanda.com and I was getting some traction. However, things came up, babies were born, and other projects took precedence and I was unable to write as much as I wanted to.
Now that I’m back into the swing of things, I’ve launched a new website called GameBuildingTools.com. I plan on offering royalty free graphics such as sprite sheets, backgrounds, UI kits, and more. More importantly, I also plan on writing more game tutorials!
To get jump started, I created a game called Corona Starfighter and you can download the template here. Although simple, the game features two scenes, bullets, transitions, physics, and more. If you’d like to learn how I developed the game, please start your reading at Corona Starfighter Part 1. This tutorial is a 4 part series and I have parts 2 through 4 scheduled to come out once a day over the next couple of days.
I’d love to hear your feedback and suggestions! Follow me twitter.com/gamebuilding (gamebuildingtools was too long of a username).
Here’s a little preview of the game icon. It was heavily influenced by Corona.
Thanks for reading and I hope you download a free graphic or two!
