As a new learner to Corona SDK, i am wondering if i have access to all the API’s as shown on the pricing page for the Basic version. I don’t want to discover further down the pike i cannot have access to essential physics and animation.
As a suggestion, i would ask Coronalabs to please include the FREE starter license on the pricing page columns because people won’t have a clue what the difference is between the Starter FREE and Basic $16PM.
Thanks
We are talking about including Starter on the pricing page so that you will see the differences. But in the simplest terms, Basic subscribers get access to the store.* API calls which enables In-App Purchases. This will include the Google IAP V3 plugin. Apple IAP is part of the core and doesn’t need a plugin. There may be additional plugins that are available to Basic subscribers.
Pro gets you access to premium features like premium graphics, premium plugins, daily builds and more.

Does the Starer Edition mean my app will have interstitial ads etc?
I once found this: http://coronalabs.com/products/faqs/
not sure when they last update it or if it’s still up to date, but it looks awesome and gives really good overview.
Just for clarification (although maybe it’s only me and my brain)…
Q. Does the Starter Edition mean my app will have interstitial ads etc?
A. Yes, ads are available to all pricing tiers.
I think the answer should be…
A. No, your app won’t have ads unless you put them in, but ads are available to all pricing tiers.
Good clarification Jay. Starters can use ads to monetize their apps. Corona Labs does not force ads on you.

I believe Marmalade SDK FREE version puts its own ads on your app, so this is good news again from Coronalabs
It’s only one ad at the beginning of the app (plus the Made with… splash) in the free version of Marmalade, but yes, Corona is still *much* better in that regard.
