I’m just wondering… With Adobe’s iPhone packager back in the game, and Air for Android (and presumably Win7 and who knows what else) on the horizon, how does Ansca plan on differentiating Corona from Flash when it comes to cross-platform game development? It’s already possible, using the Flex SDK and your text editor of choice, to make Flash games for free, and pretty soon you’ll be able to distribute those games (again: for free) on virtually any device that can be used for gaming without having to modify a single line of code. Add to that the myriad open-source libraries available for Flash game development (Box2D, Flixel, Flashpunk, etc.) and… well, it’s kind of scary!
I’m not trying to stir up trouble. I purchased Corona GE, and I’m quite happy with it so far. I’m just genuinely curious about Ansca’s strategy. [import]uid: 10327 topic_id: 3221 reply_id: 303221[/import]
