I have been engaged in marketing for a couple of months, but little effect in the US market. I don’t know how to get more exposure for my app. I have tried to send so many letters to editors to get my app reviewed but no one answered my letter. I am nearly disappointed. Recently, I learn something about Corona, but could anyone tell me whether Corona can really help me build my app? [import]uid: 138312 topic_id: 24231 reply_id: 324231[/import]
What’s your app? [import]uid: 23689 topic_id: 24231 reply_id: 97847[/import]
Corona is a great tool which can enable you build a great app… Great apps come from good ideas realized through dedication - and no doubt it helps to have the right tools to make that happen.
If you have an app that you already think is great (and be objective, is this better than the competition, is this something worth people’s time to check out, visually appealing with a nice icon, good SEO, etc), then it isn’t what you’d need, per se.
The Ansca and the Corona community can help promote great apps made with Corona, which has certainly helped people succeed. Through twitter, app of the week awards, word of mouth, etc. [import]uid: 87138 topic_id: 24231 reply_id: 97862[/import]
I am sorry to hear you haven’t had the best luck so far, unfortunately it is a crowded market and can be that way at times.
As Revaerie said Ansca and the Corona community do try to help promote apps created with Corona which can sometimes help.
Another plus is that you can make apps faster than using other SDKs so if your app doesn’t sell fantastically you will not have spent as many hours on it as you would have with another SDK.
Also +1 RE a nice icon helping, seems to be one of the most important things when you first have an app show up on the store in getting attention [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 24231 reply_id: 97872[/import]
My app is Voice Secretary, Itunes URL:http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/voice-secretary-pocket-voice/id399341058?mt=8 [import]uid: 138312 topic_id: 24231 reply_id: 97949[/import]
Yes, I agree with you. But the problem is that I am not an native speaker so I am a little confused about what Corona provides to the subscriber. So could you please do me a favor to explain to me? what can Corona really do for the developer? [import]uid: 138312 topic_id: 24231 reply_id: 97952[/import]
That’s a cool looking app
What Corona does for the subscriber, in short, is allow them to develop apps using Lua. This means it is much faster to create your app than using another framework.
There are a lot of wonderful features Corona has but ultimately the most important thing to most developers is just how fast it is to make their apps.
