CoronaPaper #1 - 2013 is released! Free for a limited time.

We are proud to release the second issue of CoronaPaper.
In this issue, we are focusing a lot of the tutorials around the physics engine. We will explain how to do a car, explain the physics library in detail and show off some quite awesome multilayer physics action.

As in our first issue, we are providing you with the latest API news, third party tool-reviews and reviews of the hottest games created with Corona SDK

Corona Ambassador David Roulin and teacher Carina Lundström will be talking about the experience of teaching Corona to students. David will also be sharing some Corona tips and tricks in a humorus and laidback monthly interview.

We’ve come up with a new coding competition, where we will be giving away an iPad Mini to a talented or creative developer.

Lots and lots of corona material to read. The best part? It’s free until monday! so there is no reason to not grab a copy at
www.coronapaper.com

Happy Reading!

Ah! Very interesting, the free issue access does make it a lot easier to interpret whether this is something I wish to read every month. It must be really challenging to make a Corona-zine!

Is this available on iOS Newstand? [import]uid: 41884 topic_id: 35482 reply_id: 141033[/import]

Newsstand is in the works, but for right now Joomag is our only publishing platform.
For reading on iOS, i’d recommend either Joomag’s app or a pdf download. [import]uid: 173835 topic_id: 35482 reply_id: 141036[/import]

I’ve been a huge fan of magazines with code samples since Family Computing , and Compute!

There’s something to be said for actually typing in unfamiliar code, learning from the typos that occur and getting something to run.

@Stian Saunes, The layout is beautiful: clean and vibrant, the articles are insightful, as well as timely. It does look like you need a better camera and lighting though

also… sometimes the pages go blank on joomag… i’ll have to verify my downloaded copies are in tact.

also… I Subscribed, and bought the premier issue!

I believe anyone in the Corona community, or Game Dev in general would benefit from this.

@Stian Saunes,

Very nicely done there. I saw your interview with Charles on Corona Geek and thought, whoa, how much effort does it take to put out a magazine focused on Corona and what would it look like.

Obviously A LOT of work! Congrats to your team to put out an issue of that quality and diversity in a short time frame…I know how little I can get done in a day.

Thanks for the free copy, that multi layer physics article/code looks like it has some crazy potential, I really like how the author solved the issue, very cool stuff. with the offsets, makes perfect sense.

Thanks again for making the copy available to non subscribers.
