CoronaSDK latest, freezes my mac when I hit Build. Restart cpu every time

Hi when I build my projects, sometimes the coronasdk simulator will pop up and it will freeze my entire mac. I have to restart my computer to get everything to unfreeze again. It is annoying to the point I can’t work on my projects at all. It doesn’t matter what project or code it is, could be just a one line to show a picture and it does it even though it built it fine just a second ago.

I work on a macbook pro 15 inch 16gb ram i7.

Any insight would be helpful thank you.

You should have plenty of horsepower to use it. It sounds like something else is going on.   Can you force stop the app? Do you get the pinwheel/spinning beach ball?  After restarting have you looked in your system logs for any clues as to what’s going on?

What version of OS-X are you using?   Does it happen when you’re running sample apps?

Rob

Hi Rob, I can’t force stop the app or even click on other programs everything just becomes as if I’m just looking at a picture and nothing is operational. No pinwheel nothing. I did not look at the system logs (where do I find them exactly) I am on OS X 10.10.2 Yosemite. It happens when I run my apps. Do you mean the sample apps that came with the SDK?

The log is in /var/log/system.log

Yes, by sample apps I mean start Corona SDK, click on the “Sample Apps” link on the right and run something minimal like hello world.
