CoronaViewer for Android Working but simulator doesn't auto-reload - workaround?

First: Props to Corona team for this feature.  Awesome.

Second: CoronaViewer for Android working well on my Galaxy S3.  However, the regular simulator doesn’t seem to auto-reload when I edit files despite having the preference checked (OS X Mavericks)

Apparently this is a thing, since it’s a network drive

I felt this deserved its own thread so people don’t wonder what’s up … if anyone has a workaround please post here, else at least we all know it’s a known limitation!

I don’t know of a work around for this.  Though interestingly enough, mine started magically working again and I don’t know what happened.  One day I was hitting CMD-R to reload, the next day I would save a file and it would auto refresh.

I’m having the same issue. It was working then it suddenly stopped. This has happened to me on my Macbook Pro and my iMac. Also I’m doing iOS development so it doesn’t seem to be platform dependent.

I found a possible solution to this problem…

If I developed an app within a dropbox folder (any) then when I saved a file the simulator will not auto refresh.

The work around I found is to use a third party peice of software (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sync-folders/id530573877?mt=12) to sync folders from outside of Dropx to the Dropbox CoronaViewer folder(!).

This works great and also means I can keep my existing app development folder structure and keep git happy etc…

If anyone knows how to get symbolic links (osx) to recreate this functionality please let me know.

Many thanks,

Ian.
