This is amazing! Breakneck speed. Thanks for putting all this energy into this project. Most excited!!!
very cool! so basically, we also will be able to get direct access to the database? like, for example, we have made a bug and want to restore the consumables of a user, we could simply access the database by web console etc?
@dingo I don’t have much experience with the IAP side of things, so I can’t answer you there. But the MySQL adapter basically allows you to connect to any MySQL database that you have access to, locally or hosted elsewhere.
Hope that helps.
Cheers.
I’ve got 2 more test accounts if anyone wants to just noodle around with the Lua Cloud Code. They are temporary accounts on private instances so there is nothing to lose.
Drop me a line at coronium at develephant dot com if interested.
Cheers.
@develephant has been an absolute gem to work with. I am happy to have access to one of his test instances and will be taking Coronium for a spin later today. Will report back on my early experience knowing full well that this is early alpha phase. Still a very capable middleware it seems to be. Thank you very much!!!
Hey Develephant. I joined the google group but didn’t get access yet. I would love to give this a whirl.
PS: you do a very professional voice over. Are you open to doing a voice over for a project for some cash? Just talking theoretically here
Thanks
Well, basically I just need access to all the data.
But this is great. This means that me or someone could simply do the whole SQL tables and all, and we have a turn based mechanism pretty fast. We only would need to use your adapter and write a few methods.
Awesome.
Just finished setting up my test instance of Coronium running on @Develephant’s server running against my MySQL server running on my server. I am able to run through the CRUD samples @Develephant demo’ed in his video earlier on. Next step is to tie it to my simple app using bunch of newEditFields etc. Fun stuff!!! Way to go @Develephant!!!
More to follow…
@Gremlin Interactive Thanks for the kind feedback, of course I think I could improve it a lot, but I’d be interested if the opportunity arose. Not sure why you didn’t get in the group, I thought it was set to allow new users automatically. I’ll take a look.
@ksan You are my hero right now. Break that thing.
Got a couple other testers coming on board today as well. Thanks for the feedback and help everyone.
Cheers.
Heh heh. If you keep this up we’ll have to get you a bigger “Cat’s Pyjamas” award.
You guys are having too much fun - looking forward to join in as soon as I an done with my other stuff here
Hey develephant. Thanks for the reply. I would love to play with this at the weekend.
Here is my email to invite me if you would be so kind: info [at] gremlininteractive.com
Thank you so much and keep up the great work!
This is unbelievable. Since @develephant gave me the license to “break this thing” I went all out.
Basically, I’m coding a simple demo using a MySQL server in a good old 3-tier client/server architecture (anyone here from the 90s? only this time with the client running on mobile and hooking up via 3G. No local storage at all. All running realtime against the server going through Coronium calls. A very unlikely use-case given the fragility & latency introduced over the internet etc. Despite it all, Coronium is not only helping me cut down hundred of lines of both PHP & lua it is surprisingly running very fast and stable as well.
This has to be the best 0.1 alpha code I have ever seen. Great job @develephant!!! Keep it going please.
@ksan Thanks for the report, your help has been legendary.
@gremlininteractive I’ll get you set up today. Glad to have you.
I also have my other job today (dad) so I’ll be on and off today, but getting really excited about the push component.
Have a great weekend.
Thanks again!
@develephant: sounds cool. coronium will be a great help, also for business apps.
i also have the other job this weekend (dad). have a great one!
Can’t say enough about how wonderful Coronium is and how responsive @develphant is to our needs. His most recent magical update :
coronium:uploadFile( fileMetaTable, onFileUpload )
Yes. Thats all you need to type in order to get your file(s) uploaded to your server. Great going develephant!!! Thank you very much.
@ksan - Really appreciate the help.
…And a special thanks to Rob Miracle for his recent blog post.
Best,
Chris
awesome chris!
