Could not connect to server. Please check your Internet connection.

Surprisingly since yesterday I can’t build my app for Android.
Simulator starts to connect to server and immediately shows error:
“Could not connect to server. Please check your Internet connection.”

I use Corona Simulator trial version. I have Windows XP

I tried:

  • I checked two internet connections (LAN and mobile), both works fine, both without proxy
  • Windows restart,
  • I updated Corona to the last 2012.971 version
  • I tried to build a few other apps

still without success :frowning:

I found a few topics on the Forum similar to mine, but without effectiove sollusion.
Help me please.
Thank you. [import]uid: 193524 topic_id: 34608 reply_id: 334608[/import]

Sometimes there are problems with the Corona Lab servers that cause build errors but those are pretty rare these days. There should be no need to reinstall Corona to make it work again. If a build fails because of a server error you can generally try again a few minutes later to see if goes away. Posting a message on the forum about the problem will help validate if it’s a global problem or specific to your setup. We do monitor the forums and it will alert us to a problem if we don’t already know about it. [import]uid: 7559 topic_id: 34608 reply_id: 137796[/import]

I’ve also been experiencing the same error since yesterday! I’ve run through the same steps you did, but the issue persists.

Hopefully, it will magically go away like yours! haha  [import]uid: 176900 topic_id: 34608 reply_id: 137807[/import]

I still can’t work :frowning:

I’m pretty sure that I turned off my firewall, antivir, windows firewall, everything. I reinstalled Corona in other directory. Still without success. I’m almost sure that this error is not my fault.

Interesting fact is that Corona Simulator shows connection error immediately: max 1sec. after connection try. 1 second timeout? O_o

What is IP (and port) Corona Simulator is trying to connect?

I learn Corona two months and I planed to buy subscription before Global Game Jam, but now I’m confused. I can’t reinstall Windows everytime when Corona stops work

Thank you for any advice.

Problem suddenly dissapeared! I did nothing :stuck_out_tongue:
Nevermind! I can work again and I hope it never return  [import]uid: 193524 topic_id: 34608 reply_id: 137698[/import]

To anyone who happens upon this thread w/ the same problem. It was resolved when I contacted support and they reset my machine on my account. We tried many things before then, however that worked! [import]uid: 176900 topic_id: 34608 reply_id: 138674[/import]

May I know how this is fixed? It will help others who have this issue.
