Couple of questions about Glider IDE

Hi!

I like Glider IDE very much but recently I somehow managed to enable some weird “feature” that I can’t use mouse to select multiple rows anymore. It just highlights some of the text and then square window-like icon appears and it starts to drag the code window (edges change color and I can change code window’s position). How can I get rid of this behaviour? It worked fine before.

Another question is about Ultimote in Glider IDE. Does it only work when debugging? At least I’ve only managed to use Hardware Keys when debugging… What “Take snapshot every…” should I use because it seems that when using the default “-1” my Corona Simulator does not get any hardware key events.

I might be doing something wrong in the first place of course

Thanks for the help!

After writing my previous post I went back to check some Glider IDE preferences and decided to uncheck “Multi-row tabs” (under Miscellaneous => Windows) which I activated earlier. Now selecting of multiple rows using mouse works like before…

So the question that remains is about Ultimote.

Hello Hytka81,

Thanks for your interest!

"Ultimote in Glider IDE. Does it only work when debugging? "
Yes. We suggest you only use debug mode unless it is having performance issues.

" What “Take snapshot every…” "
This is the debugger history feature. It will take a snapshot of the variables in scope every X lines so you can step back if you need to. You probably do not need to use this feature so leaving it at -1 is fine.

Are the hardware keys working now?

Hi!

It seems that now the hardware keys are working, for some reason it seemed earlier that they didn’t work even though I tried it with the default snapshot value of -1.

So it’s all good now
