We recently released Busy Bunnies, an iOS universal app. We’ve tested extensively on a first gen iPad and a 4th gen iPod Touch - we had friends with new iPads 2s test it for us after release. All good - no problems. Yet I’ve received 2 bug reports from new iPad 2 owners who say the app won’t even start for them. That strikes me as very strange - I thought with Apple you can be sure if it works on one device, it will work on all - i.e. hardware consistency.
We are about to release an update that reduces max texture size form 2048x2048 to 1024x1024 to address problems in older iPod/iPhones - we are hoping this will fix the iPad 2 issues also, but my understanding is that 2048x2048 should be no problem on iPad 2. So it’s probably something else, but I’m scratching my head wondering what it could. Any ideas ? We’d appreciate any suggestions you might have.
