Creating thumbnails snapshots - any ideas?

Hi,

we are working on an app a bit like keynote. What we are struggling with is to display thumbnails of our different slides.

At the moment, we render our display group to an image using display.save. But this has dramatic sideeffects on retina display, cause it takes quite some time and consumes a lot of memory.

We are looking for an idea to create those small views (80x60) very fast. But we are struggling to redraw our slides (display.group).

Any idea how this can work?

Hello Heiko,

You may consider scaling down the display group to thumbnail size, then use “display.captureBounds()” to specify just that small portion of the screen. The resulting image should be much slimmer and faster.
