It looks to me, from what I have read on the forums here, that RevMob is the way to go for me, most likely. I can run a full page ad at startup of my app, and a banner ad along bottom of screen during play. But, I wonder does anyone have any insight or experience with any ad service that allows developer a little more control over certain things …
- Be able to position the banner along the side of the screen ‘vertical’ instead of the normal bottom or top of screen.
- Control over which ads post. Maybe select from a list of ads that you ‘the developer’ would prefer over just any ads. It seems to me, from what I have seen, RevMob mostly just posts a ‘free game’ ad.
My app has an area on the side of the screen where I can have an ad posted all during game play without being to intrusive to the user. The ad would ideally change and be replaced by other ads at times during the game. As the game plays, I do not believe it will be any more irritating then a standard bottom banner ad. But, I would have to be able to re-size/re-shape the image from a landscape type banner look that is typically used, and make it a portrait look that I can swap in/out on the side of the screen… I have some space there that would be ideal. It seems likely all these ad services design the ads to either be full screen or landscape banner type. I know what I am looking for here is against the grain, but that is what I am trying to do.
I am just looking for some way to get just a little more control, if it is possible.
