I have a custom font that is necessary in my app due to it being the actual client’s font. And since there is a lot of dynamic text stuff going on converting all to graphics seems a little excessive since the font works.
However, the decenders if they are the leading character, get chopped off. The only way around this I have found is that I can put a space in front of the first character. This seems a bit crude though. And it throws off the alignment most of the time.
Anyone know why this is? WHY doesn’t corona detect that decender edge as the leading edge of the text? This obviously isn’t a problem with certain fonts whose decenders will always reside directly under the body.
