This concerns Corona Cloud and Android. Perhaps Joshua would best answer this.
I like what I see with Corona Cloud and looked at it when it was Game Minion. However I starting using Parse.com instead because they have a setup for allowing Push to Android devices that do not use Google Services, namely Kindle and Nook. The downside of this is it requires using the full Parse SDK which would require me using Enterprise and making a plug-in. I do not want to get elbows deep in Enterprise until I can afford the cost. I do not know the exact way Parse does it but it appears they set up a poller on non-google service devices to poll their system and pull down push notifications. I believe Urban Airship does similiar with their Helium platform.
That brings me to my question. Is this something that has even been considered by Corona Labs for Corona Cloud?
At the moment Corona Cloud feels incomplete if you can not service Kindle and Nook devices with push notifications like Parse and Urban Airship can. It’s the only obstacle that keeps me from using it.
