Daily Build 1183 - AGAIN Problem with Zoom on Windows Simulator

Hi!

I just downloaded Daily Build 1183 and encountered yet another problem with the “Zoom In / Zoom Out” function in Windows Simulator.

When using certain skins (for example iPhone 4 or iPhone 5), the app is not shown in the standard zoom level, but in a very, very large one. What makes this especially nasty is the fact that this zoom level is shown everytime I reload the app!

My current workaround is to use the standard iPhone skin, where the normal zoom level is shown.

Thx!

Hi,

We will be looking into this.  Can you give me some more information about your system what what you’re doing?  Thanks.

Hi, I am working on a Windows 8 64bit system.

I’ve tried out build 1190 now. The zoom level is not resetted anymore when relaunching the app (which is crucial!). So that is fine.

The zoom level differs a bit in strange ways from skin to skin (i.e. the normal zoom level on iPhone 5 changes to the smallest zoom level on iPhone 3), but I can live with that.

Thx!

The reason the iPhone 5 skin’s size looks different than the normal iPhone skin is because the resolution of those devices are so different.  The simulator is reflecting that difference by showing those 2 different resolutions on your monitor.  We do hear your concerns and after the public release we will look into ways of making the simulator even more user friendly.

Ok, thx!
