Dashboard for game statistics on Corona website shows that 35% of my game sessions are 0 second long. What could be the reason for that? It’s hard to imagine somebody downloads a game and then stops playing in less than 1 second. Can it be an app crash? Or do I just don’t understand the statistics?
I would say app crash would be the most likely cause.

I got the same situation. Every day there are 0 sec sessions. And I don’t think it to be because of crashes.
My app also has constantly about 30% 0 sec sessions. On Android and iOS.
sysbees: Do you think your app crashes 30% of the time?
My app is very simple app. I have only 2 testing devices (iPhone and Android smartphone) where I have never seen a crash but also several of my friends are using the app too and it does not crash either. So I can’t speak for every user out there but 35% - 36% of crashes is something I would see either on my device or my friends’ devices.
I think I simply ignore that dashboard for now.
radim, I have bought my app from another device now, played it and after that dashboard showed me that I played 0 seconds.
With multiple people reporting this, I’m going to say it’s not apps crashing. Let me ask engineering to look in to it.

I heard back from Engineering today. If a user runs the app only once, you will get a 0 length session. I’m not sure I fully understand all the whys, but, that is the likely reason for it.
Rob
I am a little bit confused. Do you mean if a user runs the app only once a day I will always get that session as 0 length?
For example, if he played 5 minutes but only once a day, would it be registered as 0 seconds session?
On iOS, apps run until someone manually kills it. So I could download your app, try it, and go on to something else and never come back, or eventually close it and never run it again. I’m not sure how analytics closes out sessions, but if they played today, then tomorrow, I would expect that to show up as time.
