Deauthorize one computer, why???

Hi all! I just purchased my own copy of Corona.
After installing it successfully on my Windows PC, I went on my MiniMAC and tried to install, but… I get this message:

“You are already using this software on two other computers. Please deauthorize one of your other computers before logging in on this computer”.

The point is that I have never installed my purchased copy of Corona TWICE, I installed into my PC only, so now the problem is… How can I deauthorize a PC that I have never authorized???
p.s.
Before purchasing the whole product I (of course) installed the free trial demo on both PC and Mac, does this count???

Hey Vortika,

We seem to have an issue sometimes when a user first goes to authorize a second computer.

This is easy enough to get resolved, just use this form and explain the situation (provide a link to this thread if you wish) and it will all be sorted out so you can use 2 computers at once.

Hi, I’m having the same issue. I filled that form out a couple of weeks ago and still cannot login

That is a concern; there’s a possibility your request ended up in spam. Could you please fill out the form again and I will ask someone in the office to take a look at that for you in the AM?

Thanks,

Peach,

Thanks for the fast reply. Unfortunately I’m still unable to log in. It still tells me I need to deauthorize one of my computers. Thanks.

KC.

Hey KC,

Did you fill you the form again? I think there was some trouble locating the original support ticket. If you haven’t could you please do so now?

We will get this sorted out for you, I’m sorry for the delay and appreciate your patience.

There was two authorized computers on your account. I de-authorized both of them so you should be able to log in now. [import]uid: 7559 topic_id: 23544 reply_id: 99017[/import]

As I understand it, since I bought pro, I should be able to install to both a PC and a Mac. No?

I installed on a mini mac, then de-authorized (successfully), installed on a PC, then back on the mini mac to install, and it would not let me run…

grrr… This is costing me time, money, and production.

When it comes time to renew, I am starting to think I might should be as stingy with my money as you guys are with the authorization policy.

Can’t code, cant play…

What gives? [import]uid: 133621 topic_id: 23544 reply_id: 105034[/import]

@code4sale, I de-authrozied both your computers.

We are looking into a way users can de-authorize themselves without having to do it on the authorize machine.

Thank you so much! Very fast service!

The PC did not need a re-auth to run, and the mac-mini did.

Question: I am guessing that there is something (a file or registry entry) stored on the computer that is part of the authorization, so we should do a backup (or snapshot) of the computers after the authorization?

It is very important that we are able to keep the computers authorized, and also be able to blow them apart and quickly return them to a pre-blown apart state (via a backup or VM snapshot).

Quick second question: Has anyone had any luck getting the system to run headless in a VM on the mac side? It used to work with the VMWare product, but no longer, so we had to dedicate an entire physical mac to be used as a “snapshotable VM” (just for Corona), thats kinda expensive, and slow to restore, and
and keeping sets of 20 gig backup images for “a snapshot” is kinda large :0

Running remotely from a real VM would be much better, especially since the mac is planted under the seat of a PT Cruiser and is hard to get to. Having to power a real screen is also a big drain on our mobile power supplies.

BYW, when I say we are “mobile developers” I mean WE are mobile

Thanks again for the re-authorziation!
