Deploy .apk to Android emulator failed

Hi

I’m new to evaluate CORONA SDK for my cross-platform mobile App development solution.
After successfully building an Andorid clock.apk of CORONA_SDK\Sample Code\GettingStarted\Clock Corona project, I tried to deploy this Clock.apk to Android Emulator using Android platform tool adb.exe.

It failed do install package on AVD2.2 (API level 8)

Adb.exe succeed to put Clock.apk package on this AVD2.2
/data/local/tmp/clock.apk and prompt error message:
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INVALID_APK].

Did I miss something? I just want to prove if CORONA SDK is really workable on Andorid and iPhone.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

FYI do not forget:

• Device support: Android OS 2.2 or greater (ARMv7). Corona-built apps will not install on Android ARMv6 devices.

I’ve selected Android OS 2.2 AVD emulator. As you know, there is only one option of CPU type in Android AVD manager (CPU/ABI=> ARM(armeabi)

I also made a trial to deploy CORONA sample clock.apk on Android 2.3. It did successfully installed. but failed when you run it.

In other words, CORONA won’t support current Android AVD and there is no way to prove it unless you pay $, right? [import]uid: 171989 topic_id: 30220 reply_id: 121102[/import]

@victor9,

Sorry, but I don`t know.

Also about the emulator, I cannot tell you anything as I haven`t used it.
Probably someone else can help you here more than me right now. [import]uid: 89165 topic_id: 30220 reply_id: 121103[/import]
