Detecting the ACTUAL screensize of the device

I am learning Corona and working on SlideView example. I am using config.lua with 1024/768 set for height/width with letterbox scaling.

In other scaling modes, display.viewableContentHeight/display.viewableContentWidth returns the actual devices size - but not for letterbox. Is this a bug or is there something I am missing ?

No, not a bug - the viewable content height/width is still the same - like if you transitioned an object from y = 100 to y = -100, you’d see it pass through the letterbox bar. (So it’s still viewable.) [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 13664 reply_id: 50402[/import]
