Develop for the new iPad

Hi everyone, with the release of the new iPad, does Corona support to new higher resolution? I have tried implementing a larger image into the Corona simulator but it looks like part of the image was not showing. Or did I do anything wrong?

This happens when the image is implemented as movieclip an as rectImage. [import]uid: 26410 topic_id: 23390 reply_id: 323390[/import]

We have seen problems when running Corona apps on the iOS 5.1 iPad Retina simulator and we are trying to determine if it’s a iOS simulator bug or not. We have looked at our internal code for any thing that could be causing this but we need to see if this happens on an actual device to determine if this is a real issue. The problem seems to an issue with screen coordinates that occurs with and without Dynamic Scaling (e.g. no config.lua file).

We are working to get to the bottom of this issue ASAP. [import]uid: 7559 topic_id: 23390 reply_id: 93695[/import]

Hey @Tom, I appreciate your “updated” notice about that also.
Thanks,

If you want to develop for iPad 3, you should wait for Corona’s announcement on this as there’s an issue between iPad 3 + Corona that breaks games (all of my 9 games are broken, I checked on device today, though I’m not sure if there’s a certain prerequisite in my build and config settings that makes it so). We’re getting several emails from users having problems running all our “Corona-Built” apps on the new iPad 3. Is this happening to all Corona built apps? Help! [import]uid: 8780 topic_id: 23390 reply_id: 94089[/import]

@staytoooned, you need to rebuild your app with build 767 to fix the iPad Retina display problem. Go here for more information: http://blog.anscamobile.com/2012/03/update-ipad-retina-display/ [import]uid: 7559 topic_id: 23390 reply_id: 94113[/import]
