It says I have 2 machines registered, but I only own 2 machines. Additionally, the other machine’s hard drive has crashed, and there is no way for me to unregister it.

We are aware of requests to change the authorization stuff, it is something we are quite seriously looking at. (Not removing it but allowing users to do it online through their accounts.)
