Device crashing with segmentation fault/EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)

We are SO close to finishing our app - or at least this first version - it’s almost sick that I’m suck. So here, I come to you - good and faithful Coronians.

Our game is crashing, quite randomly, in the middle of play. Not during a scene change and only on the iPad. It’s been tested in XCode and it also crashes. Not in the Corona Simulator nor on an Android phone.

According to ‘LogPolice’ the error is a Segmentation Fault: 11
Also, the error log that I pulled says:

I’m really at my wits end here. I need some guidance! Anyone know what’s going on with this game? [import]uid: 97023 topic_id: 25312 reply_id: 325312[/import]

Are you using and manipulating masks, i.e., during play do you add and remove masks from objects?

I had random nondeterministic crashes in my app that went away when I refactored my code to not use masks (unfortunately in my case that also translated into more texture mem usage). [import]uid: 44647 topic_id: 25312 reply_id: 102296[/import]

I have one mask that covers a stationary bar. It was suggested that could be the problem.

In fact, it looks like I was using audio.dispose on objects that should not have been removed. I took all the audio.dispose off objects that are played once and viola … the app is good.
