TRUE -

The lastest CoronaSDK will not work on arm6 devices. You need ARMv7, with Android 2.2 and above.

Thank you, there is any way to build using armv6 to support this devices? Or maybe in the future?
I need to know it to stop using corona in some projects or continue… [import]uid: 6732 topic_id: 11031 reply_id: 40158[/import]

None.

I had an open forum and open discussion about dropping 2.1 and below as well arm6 devices. So, not now, or anytime in the future. We dropped it. Feel free to peruse the other entries here in the Android forum section to see some of the discussions regarding dropping support for 2.1 and arm6 devices.

Thanks.

You can use Corona SDK 2011.268 to build. It’s OK on devices with ARMv6. [import]uid: 51300 topic_id: 11031 reply_id: 40223[/import]

Thank you for the idea, but…

Can I publish a product in android market and app store using this version of corona?
It is valid and a good idea?

I agree that this is a huge problem. Most of the people using Android are using an ARMv6 device as listed above.

Since I am just learning to program, I currently only have the trial account and cannot load my apk to my device. I think that really sucks :frowning:

Is there any chance of reversing this decision? Please???

Also, I don’t think the question was answered about downloading from the store. But I suppose that would not work either if an app was built with Corona.

This fact alone will have a serious impact on sales for anyone developing for Droid devices. Why bother?

Frustrated and confused,

Cheryl,

Yes, the decision was made and it is ARMv7 devices.

Don’t be frustrated and confused. We, I, spent, spend, inordinate amount of time with both our developers, and devices manufacturing companies, and the feedback that we and I got was that ARMv7 it is moving fwd.

See section 7

You can use an old build to support armv6, and submit to the martk, but of course you won’t have the latest fixes.

fyi i still use 319 for walkabout android version. [import]uid: 8872 topic_id: 11031 reply_id: 64517[/import]

I know it’s been a long time here but what version of XCode is required for build 319? [import]uid: 142746 topic_id: 11031 reply_id: 102108[/import]
