Diamond shaped grid

Hey there,

I was wondering, is it possible to create a diamond shaped grid? I know its possible to create one using simple squares, but I’d like to turn these 45 degrees (or something like that), so the tiles are actually diamond shaped.

If this question is still a little vague (sorry), I’m looking to create something very similar to what the game Wakfu/Dofus does: http://mmohuts.com/wp-content/gallery/wakfu-overview_1/wakfu-2012-02-14-16-37-37-02.jpg

Is this possible with Corona? [import]uid: 200198 topic_id: 36085 reply_id: 336085[/import]

You are interested in something called “isometric” layouts. See this Wikipedia article, which might make a good starting point.

Then you can start googling around for information on isometric games and methods. I’m sure people have done this in Corona and goggling for “corona isometric” might get you some hits.
