Difference between "touch" and "tap"

Hi,

Checked this page http://developer.anscamobile.com/content/events-and-listeners and also searched the forum but can’t find the answer.

What’s the difference between a touch event and a tap event? Aren’t they the same thing?

Tap is for buddies, and strangers blocking your path. Touch is for significant others & deeply meaningful events.

Tap is a touch event with added logic to represent a tap gesture. Touch events could be made to listen for tap, swipe, longpress, dragm and more. [import]uid: 4596 topic_id: 10559 reply_id: 38429[/import]
