Looks a nice piece of work. Have you ever thought of going down the Micro Machines route and having a wider range of backgrounds (Micro Machines is a popular game from the Amiga days) - much of their backgrounds were set in houses and household objects were used as barriers or dangers. It might help increase the replayability factor ?

If I had a criticism of your game it would be that the tracks (fourth image) are all very similar. If you had a wider variety of tracks you could do things like adjust the handling of your car for speed and water and the like.

Some games can manage to pretend to be different without actually being different. I don’t know if you ever played the SNES Game “Secret of Mana” ; it was a RPG which was really fun to play, but much of it was pretty much the same, they just changed the graphics and the bad guys, but it was really well hidden.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestions, yes i know the micro machine genre, i used to play it quite a bit. i do intend on making some more racing games with different tracks as i have built the game engine to suit. you can see another game GP Racing

With the tracks being similar, i do understand that it seems repetitive, but i was trying to stay true to the sport and focus on the fans of the sport as all sprint car track are simply ovals, like nascar. so i tried to vary them as much as possible without taking away the oval factor.

but i do intend on creating another game soon with many different cars and tracks/locations EG snow, dirt, road etc. will be looking to give it a cartoonish effect.

Thanks again for your input.
