Hello,
I am fairly new to Corona. I am trying to load pictures from Web and display as images in the Corona app on iPhone simulator, where I can manipulate them. The goal is display images of various sizes to cover entire screen like in puzzle, or at least to have pic width to match screen width. The constraint is that I cannot scale within the code, since I can have multiple pictures filling different areas of the screen, as in puzzle making. I really need to know how big the pic will show in simulator when I am creating it in GIMP. Example of the issue: I am downloading picture that GIMP says 320 x 480 pixels, but when I run my app with display image code, it shows as taking only 20-30% of the screen (with multiple pics even much less). I tried to load bigger pictures according to GIMP, but they still display as small images different from how it looks in GIMP image window. What am I doing incorrectly? I would appreciate some guidance from experts. Can anyone also point me to good examples so I can see what is a good technique to prepare pics for iPhone screen? Maybe good articles on how to do it? Many many thanks in advance!
