Do I need to explicitly remove widgets?

Might be a stupid question but I recall that in the past at least there was a limitation that you needed to remove widgets manually using display.remove when cleaning up a scene.

Is this still the case? I’ve just migrated an app we are working now to widgets 2.0 and wanted to know if I can remove all those manual display.remove calls…

That was the case with the open source pre-widget 1.0 versions. If you use the widget.* library and you’re using Storyboard or Director and you add you widgets to the appropriate display group, they will get removed.

Of course if you’re not putting them in groups and using something to remove said groups, you will need to remove them. [import]uid: 199310 topic_id: 36604 reply_id: 144937[/import]
