Yes, if you want to submit your apps to the appstore, then you need to enroll to the iphone developer program. If you want to submit apps to the android market, you need to get a google developer account too (25USD I think). [import]uid: 5712 topic_id: 2048 reply_id: 5990[/import]
You do need to enroll in the Apple Developers Program.

This is a cost not associated with Corona at all. It is an Apple requirement that you must sign up to be an Apple Developer on a yearly basis.
For Android, please look at http://market.android.com/publish and the associated cost is about US$25.00

I’m not 100% sure about this, but you also need to enroll to the Apple Developers Program if you only want to install your applications on any iDevices (for testing).

Yes, because you need your development certificates and the dev. profiles for each app. And these you can only create when you are in the program. Without these you can’t compile and put your app on the devices. [import]uid: 5712 topic_id: 2048 reply_id: 6044[/import]
It is an Apple rule. You need an Apple certificate to even install your app on your own device. You are limited to 100 devices you can put your app into.
