Hi guys,
Just wondering if there is a list anywhere of all results returned by system.getInfo(“model”)?
I thought it might be handy for projects using particular devices, as I’m led to believe that some handsets give model code numbers rather than the model name.
I couldn’t find one anywhere so if not, maybe we could compile one here?
“iPhone” --all iphone models return this
“iPad”
“iPod touch”
“Sensation”
“Droid”
“Droid X”
“Galaxy Tab”
“Galaxy Tab X”
“Nexus One”
“Nexus S”
“Kindle Fire”
“Nook Color”
For these ones ^, I only know that this is the result that is returned in the simulator. If anyone knows that any of the return differently on a device then I can update the list.
Hopefully this will be useful for someone, this post here on device metrics http://developer.anscamobile.com/code/device-metrics-scaling-based-screen-size uses them to store the actual screen sizes in inches, amongst other things.
