Do we need to subscribe each year after app is published?

Hello,

Couldn’t find a specific forum for topics on pricings so posted here on General discussion.

I need to publish an app which uses some premium graphics and so I will have to buy the Pro subscription. Being a beginner indie developer from 3rd world country, corona’s $600 per year price is already too expensive for me. But I think it’s worth of one time investment.

My question is that do I need keep renewing the subscription each year after my game is published? Is there some callback or functionality in Corona’s build that keeps checking for the subscription and the app wont work if the subscription isn’t renewed? Or once a app is on the app store, it’s standalone and doesnt require the publisher to have a pro subscription?

Thanks

Hello @a1977644,

Once your app is published to market, you do not need to renew your annual subscription. It will continue to function as normal. However, you will not be able to build/release new/updated versions of an app that uses Pro features unless you re-subscribe at the Pro level.

Take care,

Brent
