Does an iTunes app update need anything special?

Hi,
I want to upload an update of one of my apps, but the AppLoader gives a general error message:

“An error occurred uploading to the iTunes Store”

When updating an existing app is anything special needed?
I’m using the same AppID, Distribution Profile which I use in Corona.
Do I need to generate any new things for an update or might it just be iTunes that had a problem and I just have to be patient and try again tomorrow?

Thx

My guess is this is the silly java update.

Do a software update and look for “java” in the list, if there is an option for it, install it - it will fix the issue.

Please let me know if this solves the problem, I believe it should.

Hi Peach,
Thanks for your quick reply.
You are absolutely right. It was the Java update and yes, I agree it’s silly!

Yeah, there were a set of Java security updates. Good thing is that if you installed the last one Apple released, it should also clean up your system in case you had gotten infected with the Flashback Trojan.

Not a problem; I updated to the new Java immediately to test as I’d heard it caused issues (for the record this was for all devs, native Obj-C/Xcode, not just Corona users) and was stuck for 2 days not able to upload.

Quite a pain but at least they got a fix out quickly and as wunderwuzzi said it also fixed the issue with the recent Mac Trojan.

Good luck with your update  [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 24770 reply_id: 100505[/import]
