Does Live Built/Corona Live Server still work?

Haven’t used Corona Live Server for a couple of years, but today I decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, running an app with Live Built doesn’t seem to work on Android. The app can’t even start and is stuck even before the start line of code.

I’ve tried removing/installing the bonjour service, followed multiple threads over here, but no luck so far.

Is Live Server it still supported or is there something I should be aware of?

After your app shuts down the first time, try restarting it manually a few times to see if that helps.

Live builds had issues a few versions ago (since v3705), but it definitely worked for me on v3720 that way.

You’re a life saver! It actually worked. Thanks a lot!

To me, Corona Live Server is such a huge feature and a time saver that I was really scared it was gone forever!

For anyone who encounters this issue: after building and installing the app on your device, you’ll have to launch it twice for the Corona Live Service to start.

  • Install the app.
  • Start the app → You will see a black screen.
  • Close the app completely.
  • Restart the app → It should now work and sync properly.

Also, note that if you clear the cache, you will have to do this twice-launch process again, as it essentially resets the app.

Hope this helps!
