doesn't buying a pro subscription pay for google/apple too?

hey, i just updated to the pro subscription from the starter. i realized it said the apple/google/nook/amazon

subscription is included. is it? when i go to google for subscription, it does not ask me for some kind

of code it just tell me i have to pay the 25 fee. so what am i doing wrong?

thanks

saiphan

I’m pretty sure what they mean is that they include the ability to build for android/ios/etc, not that it includes the developer fees for the respective platforms. You will still need developer subscriptions for whichever platforms upon which you decide to develop.

I don’t think i’m reading this wrong:

“iTunes App Store + Google Play + Kindle Fire Apps + NOOK Apps
Annual Subscription, applied to your user account.”

but thanks for the reply. i see you are also using the pro subscription. did you pay separately for the subscription for

google/apple?

I did indeed. The thing about it is, there is no such thing as an ‘iTunes app store annual subscription’. In order to develop for iOS, for example, you would need an iOS developer account. I also deployed to Kindle Fire and I needed an Amazon developer account.

If I’m wrong, the pro subscription just got to be a lot more value for the price.

On the pro page it says “Build for iOS, Android, Kindle, NOOK”.  ( http://www.coronalabs.com/pricing/ )

I didn’t see anything whatsoever about apple, goole etc “subscription included”. Apple developer is like $25 a year, google is about the same if I recall (no idea about amazon). All’s I see is the promise that you can build for these platforms.

Can you post a link to the page where it says the apple, google, amazon subscriptions are included?

I can’t see it being possible they would promise that… The impossible part is that you personally need to agree to apple / google / amazons “terms of service” in order to be a registered developer for them (including providing google/apple/amazon your bank information and whatever else they individually require)- which is totally outside of CoronaLabs control - so obviously they can’t promise or give you a subscription (to someone elses service) anyways. (nor can they control the cost of those subscriptions, so promising them would be rather foolish).

right, on the pricing page that’s what it says, but if you click on go pro you will see the comment i gave above.

The Corona SDK subscription fee is separate from the various vendor’s fees.  You have to pay Apple, Google, etc. all separately.

Apple is $99 + tax per year

Google is a $25 one time fee.

Amazon used to be $99 a year with the first year waved, but I’m not sure if that’s still the case.

Barnes & Noble didn’t have a fee when I signed up.

Can you post the URL where you see that language.

ok, thanks for the info.

i guess i just got confused because how they put it into words.

here is the link:

https://developer.coronalabs.com/cart/checkout

it’s where you press on GO PRO in the price section of the site.

I see the confusion.  That’s just saying that with the pro subscription you can build for all of those stores and that your Corona SDK fee is applied to your account.

I’ll see if I can get folks to consider updating that language.

Thanks

Rob

thanks you.
