Doggins: A Quiet Adventure - Now Available!

Hi all,

Doggins, a quiet iPad adventure game that follows a dreaming terrier’s battle of wits with a villainous monocled squirrel, is now available on the App Store!

Doggins takes players to the moon, where they explore and solve puzzles as they unravel a plot to reverse the history of human invention! The game brings the classic adventure genre to the touch era, utilizing touch in a natural way, minimizing the UI to immerse the player, and featuring a fresh look marked by a graphic art style and handcrafted animation. Doggins is the first game by husband-and-wife team Brain&Brain.

The game is nominated for the SXSW Gamer’s Voice Award, and we’ll be showing it this weekend at the SXSW Gaming Expo in Austin, TX. If you’re there, please stop by and say hello!

Hope you enjoy the game!

Today we’ve updated Doggins to feature an improved camera system and a new epilogue scene! We’ve also made Doggins 50% off for a limited time. Hope you enjoy!

We had a great time showing it at PAX East in Boston last month as part of the Indie MEGABOOTH. The indie developer community is so encouraging and helpful, and the players really seemed to enjoy Doggins. We hope to have more event news to announce in the coming months—only time will tell.

Thanks for your support!

looks gorgeous!

@wiiiim: Thanks a lot! Kuub looks great as well—a fun twist on the ‘match-three’ style of game that’s going on. Really nice art and gameplay!

Just wanted to say congrats on making this game.

I don’t think end users realise the amount of time and effort that goes into making games.

I hope this game is successful for you.

@Gremlin Interactive: Thanks so much! I think you’re right, it’s hard for people to understand how difficult it is to make a game until they’ve tried it themselves. I wish you the same success!

much appreciated!

We’re super excited to announce that Doggins was selected for the Indie Prize Showcase at Casual Connect in San Francisco next month!

We’ll be showing the game there from July 22nd - July 24th, so if you’re in the neighborhood, come say hi!

Also, Doggins was recently reviewed by GrabIt Magazine (a great digital magazine covering iPad games), and they’re doing a giveaway right now. If you have an iPad, go nab a free copy of Doggins while they last.

Thanks!
