Don't Destroy, BUILD! Ice Toss Frenzy is coming ...

Hi All,

I’m an indie developer from Perú and I want to introduce you to my new project: “Ice Toss Frenzy - Featuring Pookie and Tushka”.

This will be a action/fantasy game with content that is appropriate for all ages. The game takes place on a fantasy world known as “The Icelands” which is filled with cute polar characters.
Instead of “destroying” things (like in most games), in Ice Toss Frenzy you need to “build” things to be able to reach higher levels.

I am enclosing a screenshot of the home screen and some sketches of the game below.

Next Thursday (september 6th) I’m going to show the teaser trailer of “Ice Toss Frenzy” (which is the actual game intro, which was created with Corona and Particle Candy). I would appreciate your support in viewing and sharing the teaser. Please subscribe to my YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/perscorp/

You can find out more about the game at http://www.icetossfrenzy.com
I will be posting my progress in the forum and I welcome any comments that you may have on how to improve the game.

Thank you for time and support,

This looks like a beautiful game - did you do the artwork yourself? The second sketch image is awesome! [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 30481 reply_id: 122114[/import]

Wow, I got a reply from Peach

Yes, I do the art myself. The penguin and polar bear are named “Pookie and Tushka” and I wrote and illustrated a Children’s Book about them (and even got some awards

Now I am making games based on them and I am trying to expand their world with new characters.

Thankfully Corona/Lua is easy to program with, because I was not looking forward to learning Objective C.

This would be my second game with Corona. My first game was Ice Math Ninja ( http://www.pers.com/a/pr/pookie_tushka_imn_app.html ) where I started out with one of the sample Corona projects and completely changed it.

Now I have enough experience with Corona to create a game that is way more complex

I am *SO* jealous of people who can do their own artwork – and programming! Grrr! Not fair, not fair!

Jay

PS - Very cool looking art, by the way!

+1 Jay, totally jealous here too.

@Jorge - Glad you liked the reply; Pookie and Tushka are awesome looking characters  (Also very cool about doing a book in the past AND getting awards! Awesome!) [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 30481 reply_id: 122540[/import]
